Osage hunting bow for me.... " Video's added "
« on: March 27, 2012, 03:04:55 pm »
This is my third build with osage and I decided I needed to keep one for myself so I build a hunter for me. The stave came from okie64/Jamie in a trade we made and one of the staves he had so kindly chased a ring (Thank you Jamie) so it was the first of the batch to get used.

Before I started trying to build bows I shot 60 to 62" bows of R/D design so I tried to impart a tiny bit of that into this bow by sweeping the tips just a bit. The bow is 62"s nock to nock and 49.9999999@27 so we'll call it 50#s...  Braided Hemp grip wrap (Really gives me a positive feel), Bone rest and a Beaver Tail strike plate and rest cover. I built this bow to hunt.

Man that is my kind of bow, simple, primitive and altogether elegant.  Great job coaster.
