Eric that skin was only 12" long. I split it on the lateral line and wrapped sinew at the seam to blend it some.

your right about pictures not doing it justice, that is the first bow ive seen in person with carp skins, now i have to have one. thats an outstaning bow

That is awesome, I never heard of using carp skin. It really looks nice. How do you prepare the skin before backing?
