Osage (Finished Pics added!)
« on: February 19, 2012, 11:37:46 pm »
Hey everyone, made a new osage D bow. 62" ttt 1 1/2" wide. One tip is naturally recurved, it had around three inches of reflex after drying. 2" was natural. Keeps about 1 1/4" of it after rest. 1" after shooting a bunch. 50 lbs @ 26". It has two knots that I used deer sinew to wrap around for security. Nice character and shoots well. The tips have sapwood left on at the knocks. Only have rough pics now. Finished will be on tomorrow. Thanks for lookiing.

That just may be the nicest primitive bow that I've seen in a long time.

Well done!
