I joined the Army @ 17 as a Forward Observer. had a few jobs in between 09' I picked up an MP mos and still doing that. At 28 years old and 10 years serving Im wondering if I should continue or retire at 20 years in? Either way other than that I have no job.. Ive picked up learning to forge high carbon steel and now this bow making. I still forge knives and tomahawks and want to get a small buisness going when Im good at it. I am now a Single father of a beautiful 2yr old daughter and not yet born baby boy.

Stalkingfox, I was an MP for 7 years on active duty at Fort Bragg, NC.  Where are you stationed?

I'm a stay-at-home dad. I have 3 awesome kids and a fantastic wife who works as a nurse. I take my kids swimming in the creek and stump shooting all summer long. I get to know all their friends and I know what's going on at school. Of course the housework is never-ending, but that's a given. Never saw my life heading this direction, but I can't complain a bit.

Im right there with ya prowler I love watching my daughter grow. Shes two and come when she gets of age Ill teach her the life and things that flow in the wilds.

JIMBOB Thats the issue Im an infantry soldier not a cage kicker. I hate baby sitting adults theyre worse than most kids. 31E

Yeah, I'm glad I never had to do the 31E job!  I was always on the law and order side of it.  The closest I came was deserter apprehensions.  THAT was a blast.  I drove all over NC and to KY a couple of times, I also got to escort a prisoner out to the confinement facility in San Diego.  We ended up having a free day in San Diego, that was pretty cool.

I am the Clinical Manager for the Division of Transfusion Medicine in the Department of Pathology at The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.  I grew up out in the woods and would love nothing more to live off of the woods but the wife and kids would have a real problem with that.  I guess I will just have to wait until this world goes to hell in a hand basket to be able to do that.  At the rate its going it shouldn't be long.

I'm a wildlife biologist.  I trapped and commercial fished to pay my way through college in the early 80's. I felt like I needed to give back to the things that meant so much to me as a kid.  I have 8 counties I'm responsible for and primarily meet with private landowners offering technical guidance for wildlife habitat improvement.  I also deal with nuisance wildlife problems as well.

I trap and band waterfowl and doves.

I'm an official measurer for Pope and Young and Boone and Crockett.

Upon retirement I plan to freelance write outdoor articles and wildlife photography, I dabble in both currently anyway...

I'm a newbie to the bow making arena, I hope to complete my first this summer...

Used to be a graphic designer in print and front end web dev for 8 yrs, but got tired of the corporate entitlement of treating people like slaves. Now I am a tattoo artist earning a lot less, but also learning to relax and enjoy life again. I think I finally found a way to make money with my artwork, so it has been worth the transition.

well don't have best job in the u.s.a. i help make shocks all day for the past 10 years. utility worker that meens i go all over the plant and get to do your job if you dont come to work. it pays the bills and keeps us with food in the house. shocks and struts for your car that is.monroe shocks.

Work in a power generating facility for the past 37 years. Operation shift supervisor. !2 hr rotating shifts.Work 2 days(or nites) then 2 days off and do alot of hunting yearround. Good to live in the middle of great hog hunting. Middle Ga.  Just starting making self bows.

Career Firefighter/Paramedic.  Been at it since 1995 but fulltime with my department since 2001.  11.5 down, 18.5 to go.  Everyday is a Friday.

I worked for the Iowa DOT for 31 years. I took care of all the signs and guardrail in our county.
Retired now. After I get the house work do the days ALL MINE  ;D.
