This osage I had started for myself but after long deliberation decided to make it for*******. Already had the tips bent but someone needs a shorter bow so I cut them off and took out alittle twist it had.! Saw this method on here! Think I'll make it into a trditional choctaw bow!! Bend through handle. Thats the pic on the bandsaw. had a HANDLE & NOW IT DONT. Most heat was used on the belly and side that needed to rotate.

Ok folks I have got in on the bow trade......Lee Slikkers had to drop out due to extenuating circumstances, and I was approved to take his place......now to decide what stave I should use.

I'm hacking up a gnarly yew branch to make a Strunk-style longbow out of. I've got it laid out and I'm chopping it down to shape with my trusty swedish handaxe. I'm curious to see what the piece of wood yields, I'm fairly certain there's a bow in there but maybe not. Only one way to find out! Pics to follow...  :)

Coaster that is a nice tease. ;D Looking great.  I really impressed with the great work everyone is doing. Is is also great to see people stepping out of their comfort zone to try new things to accommodate the person they drew.  I'm proud to be a part of this comunity venture!

I've been on hold waiting on supplies the last few days but got what I needed yesterday so its back on now....

I do see a lot of progress being made by the end of the weekend. 8)

My little compact sports car should be ready pretty soon.

Thanks Josh, Keenan can't wait for my Stave Master... It will be nice to work under natural lite and be able to see more. These old eyes ain't what they used to be and they weren't much to start with :)
