Real nice bend to it IMHO! ;D

Well, I managed to get my trade bow done. It'll be in the mail this weekend. I'll let the new owner post some pics. It's an ash stick, with a linen camo backing. I hope the recipient likes it. Gonna try and get a couple arrows done to go with it.

No new pics, but I did get the lettering done on the trade bow, spray on another coat of finish, clean up the string and cut out the handle wrap.  I had expected the bow to lose 5lbs when I sanded it, but it didn't seem to lose an ounce.  Hope to finish it by the weekend.

Some real nice work showing up!  That walnut is sweet!  Josh, that vinemaple looks great.  I have yet to see a bow that didn't make me slobber down my shirt.  Nice work all around!   Josh

As of yesterday I have mine tillered out to about 50# @ 25" still have at least 2" more to go.  Got about 1" of set so far.  Considering this is my first stave bow that I am making, I feel pretty good about it.  I will pushing it down to the wire but will get it done.
Happy hunting to all!

I decided to go with the yellow heart instead of whitetail antler tip overlays on my trade bow. I thought is would show up good against the black tip background. I know, I know... my finish work leaves a lot to be desired. I hope my recipient doesn't mind too much. Here is how they turned out.

I made a chocolate brown b-50 dacron string with 1 gold stand in each bundle to match the tips. It turned out pretty good.  I will be adding rabbit fur silencers. I still have to redo the handle, though. I am on schedule to ship on time.
