That's a great looking bow, the tiller, snake skin, everything together. I love short bows, jbell have some faith , maple is a good bow wood, if the holes aren't too deep, and not near the limb edges you may be ok.

Looks like speedy little bow and the grub hole is too cool.

Oh...dang!  I forgot to make the other picture. I've been swamped this week at work and just plain forgot it!
I hate getting old!!!!! >:(    I'll do it this weekend.  Sorry

Here is the closest thing to an unstrung profile that I have right now. The bow has less than 1/2" of deflex when first unstrung and will creep back to no deflex after it's been unstrung for about a half hour.

Hi Sabanim, I suppose with such short bow, it bend at the handle where u glue on the leather?

do u have any pictures on glue up? i am trying to build a short bow too 50" at 24" and would sure like some tips.

Hi RT

I built the handle section up by gluing on layers of leather and then shaping it to fit my hand.
I just laced on some soft leather to cover it all up after that. The leather "riser" just bends right along with the handle core when you
draw it back.

Great, just what I wanted to see, another wonderfull bow. Don't you guys who make these things know how much the rest of us AGGONIZE over what bow to vote for. Geez...... ;)
