That is nice! I love old osage.  That is going to be a special bow.
"The bow is the old first lyre,
the mono chord, the initial rune of fine art
The humanities grew out from archery as a flower from a seed
No sooner did the soft, sweet note of the bow-string charm the ear of genius than music was born, and from music came poetry and painting and..." Maurice Thompso

I had very little tillering to do after the sinew dried. I was able to get a 45# @ 28" bow. My buddy Dave is drawing it for me.

After I took it off my "jig" It sat freely with 3 3/4" reflex. After tillering and shooting 80-100 arrows its just over 1 1/2". I wanted more draw weight, oh well! It shoots great as is.

Looks good, PD. If it is too light, right now, you can keep it till you get "older"...like next year. Trust me, sooner or later, it will probably be just right!  ;)
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Looks great, Drums!  Glad to see it survived.  Can't wait to see it at Elm Hall!

Yup. I figured its light enough now I dont need to slow it down more with rawhide. Not to mention the sketchy spots arent under a bunch of strain. I will skin it in the coming week.
