« on: July 28, 2007, 08:17:43 pm »
i glued up a hickory backed hickory and it is holding about 3 inches of reflex.  i has about 1/8" of twist in the limbs.  when it is layed flat on the tips, one tip has one side that is about 1/8" higher when the other tip is flat on the floor. is this to worry about? what ahould i do? thanks for any info!

Dude I been down that road ,its bumpy and in my case, it ended abruptly as in dead end.
It sure pays to check and double check before you clamp things up.
Is it a recurve or what? With 3 " of reflex its gonna be hard to brace.
I wish you the best with it. someone with more experience will be along soon to help ya out. Pics would help.

You may be able to tiller the twist out if you go slow. Check it out at full draw. Thats where you will see proper tiller in a wood bow.   Pat
