stalker-style quiver for ed...
« on: July 26, 2007, 06:57:42 pm »

here are some pictures of the wildboarfur quiver i made for trading with ed (epissacs); he got it in the mail today and eMailed he liked it. so i guess we had a good trade.
i used shots of european mountain ash to stiffen the edges by sewing them in. it's fur-lined at mouth and bottom so that it is really quiet.
thanks for looking...

Wow, very sharp looking quiver! The strap is very nice, and the colors are absolutely beautiful.

Nice quiver. Is that skin raw or tanned? I've got a small boar hide in the freezer that I may have to try that with.

hillbilly!  -  no, it's tanned hide; i never really knew about rawhide for quivers. wouldn't they totally soak and loose shape when it rains?? besides that why not rawhide?!  i know the saxton pope-style was rawhide from deer...

It's a VERY well made and very unique quiver that I will use with pride.  Thanks Frank, and I'm very satisfied with our trade.  If that pic is of you, we could pass for brothers, IMHO  LOL
