Locust Bow
« on: July 26, 2007, 10:03:48 am »
Hello everyone, I'm new here although I know alot of you here already from over on PP. I've seen some folks that I don't know as well and some really great looking bows on here. Anyway just thought I would post a few pics of the last bow I finished. It is black locust, 66 inches tip to tip and pulls 55# @ 26.

Alan, a beauty. Clean lines, and the tiller is excellent!

Hey, Alan! Great to see you posting over here-don't be a stranger. Oh, check out the Patty's camp-o-rama thread on the shoots and events forum. That's the get together I told you about a couple weeks ago and then forgot to get back to you. Try to make it if you can, it's gonna be a helluva good time, methinks.

There is just something about this bow that I really like. I think it is the clean lines and the color of the wood that I love. Btw, the tiller is awesome also. Congratulations!

Nice one.  I like the bump you worked around north of the handle area.  Must be black locust month.  I put the 4th coat of truoil on one this morning myself.
