Tillering specifics

Im making my first red oak long bow and i just reached the tillering stage, i've made a tillering tree but i need help with specifics like, how long on each notch what kind of string to use and things like that... any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

I have some short tillering videos on my website which may be of interest (Google delsbows' to find it).
It's not a board bow I'm tillering but it's worth a look.

Don't do that Jawges  ;) ;D ;D I only use a tiller stick until I get it to low brace the go to the rope and pully system,the tiller stick I use is set on 1 inch slots. :)

Three Rivers sells them .
I think it is easier to learn to see weak spots and get the limbs evened up with a tiller stick but don't recommend its use past getting to brace height then switch to tillering tree ( rope and pulley system )!
The string used on a stick is maybe a little longer than your bow ,then use a string that gives you a good brace height, for on the tree
Stick has a notch every 1 inch
