1st Yosemite Winter Storm 2011

The first snows have fallen in the midelevation Sierra Nevada. The top of the cliff is about 7000 feet. Yosemite Falls is the tallest in North America - what you are seeing is only the top of the fall.

Very nice pictures!!!!... and great office.

     Wife and I were there in Dec. of '97 and seemed we had the park to ourselves..had a great time!!

So true ! Lots of rock none good for knapping - it is all granite.  70 miles east is Mammoth Mountain area with the obdsidian. Want some? Tradsies?
