I've seen osage in IL, IA, NE, KS, MO, OK & TX. Of those states I would say Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri had the most. Illinois had quite a bit too, especially down state. If I had to choose 1, it'd be Oklahoma.

We have it in Indiana, but I don't think it's native. Our property lines are hedgerows.

Talking trees. What do trees have to talk about, hmm... except the consistency of squirrel droppings?

Got a good amount of it in southern ohio and kentucky. Might not be native but I know of a good amount of woods that are basically osage old growth, so they got here sometime. I know of an osage tree wide enough at the trunk you could cut threw it and drive a car threw it like those red woods just about.

Not sure if the whole state of Alabama has it, but here in central Alabama, it is quite plentiful. Just about every hedge row has it whether it's in the city limits, or a cattle farm out in the country. I have seen some HUGE osage trees around as well.
