Horned Headdress!

Well Took a few days off from bow making and decided to make a Northern Plains Indian horned headdress, and this is what happend!!! LOL  :o

the feathers in back are turkey.

The hair locks are my daughters from when she cut her hair 13 years ago, saved it for a project just like this one.  :) At last I put it to good use. She was pleased as well.

Eric, what an absolutely wonderful piece.  As a young boy owning and wearing something like that headdress was the stuff of dreams.  My 2 boys (11 & 9) are right here by my side just ooooohhhh'ing & aaahhhh'ing.  They are both really into all this primitive archery, hunting, gathering, flintknapping and Native American culture and I am doing all I can to encourage their growth and learning in this wonderful culture.

That's really nice!  Did you do the beadwork yourself?  That's something I'd like to figure out.

Yes, I made the whole piece from scratch.  :)
