Its a gambrel for small game and the hatchet is for splitting the hogs pelvic bone or chopping bone in general

      Hey welome back Dana! Yup like Persimmon said its a "redneck hanger- upper thingy" and u said a gambrel. But its fer hawgs an deer not small game. Yup, hachet is fer just that. Its light weight, only 10 oz., easy at carry and sharp as all "getout". Use it fer other things but its main purpose is ta split bone as ya said.

Yep, they still make 'em, I remeber seeing a friends gun that he made, worked the same way only it shot beans.     He built it to look like a rifle.

Chet Stevenson--Broadhead Hatchet.  Used to remove arrowheads from stumps and trees as well as other small projects around camp.  Well, one out of three ain't bad.
