fun with cedar

thought ya'll might enjoy this. it's my very first attempt at weaving anything, so it sure ain't perfect. but i'm really liking it anyways.
my step-daughter had collected lots of cedar bark last spring for an art school senior project. she knows how i enjoy making things so brought a bunch over tues. put it in a bucket to soak straight away. yesterday made this with it.
used just as it came to me. didnt make thiings uniform, or remove "imperfections" like the knots.
and yes, those are some of hillbilly61's arrows.
thanks

thanks guys-it really was a lot of fun. and the weaving part only took a cupla hrs. wish i had a big ole pile of that bark-well, reckon it might be a good thing i dont. nothing else would get done. dont have enough left to do another complete one, but i do have a small batch of cottonwood inner bark i collected last year...hmmmm-the two together might be nice.

I really like the natural beauty of it! Like cowboy, will make time to try this some day.
Great work and thoughtfulness on behalf of your stepdaughter!

Looks great! I've made a few of those from tulip polar bark, but I like the look of that cedar.
