bush knife

Just finished this one up,been wanting to make one of these for awhile.The knife is 24 inches overall,2 and a half inches at the widdest and 3 sixteenths thick.The handle is six and a half inches long and a inch and a half wide with seppeli wood scales and copper pins.It will clear the jungle out.

Very nice work!  Looks like you might be able to forego a bow and just hunt with that beast.  ;)

Now, that's a knife(said with Ausie accent)  8)  That blade shape looks very effective for clearing brush.

 I have a smaller version of the same shape, 14"OA, And I'm really starting to like it. I've been eyeballing a real nice 24" machete, at the Flea Market, that is old, with all kinds of scroll engraving on the blade from somewhere way down south. It looks hand forged and has a nice tooled sheath. I might have to get it. ::) :)

That look like a good tool,the weight where it does most good nice tight edge close to the handle for control and something rarely seen on commecial knifes of this type,a tip that is useful!
