When I hunted them, we used either Doughnuts or Molasses. The Molasses came in cardboard containers so we'd punch a small hole in the bottom and hang it with a coat hanger to let it drip.

If you have sno cone stands near by go and buy 8 ounces of concentrated cinnamon flavor

get the sodium benzoate and citric acid too for a gallon of syrup

put the concentrate in the gallon, get 10 lbs of sugar into the gallon or as much as possible, then water

once the sugar is dissolved add the sodium benzoate, shake and then the citric acid

Then take it out there, poke a toothpick size hole in the bottom and hang it from a tree...

If you go by your local fast food joint they usually have a grease container out by their dumpster. If you just fill an old cottage cheese container with that stuff you will have the best bait you can get. Poke a hole in the bottom and hang it. The sun slowly melts it and it will drip out on the ground. If you get two containers, you dump the first on the a stump and smear it around and they will come in and lick the log for hours.

Any unwanted tourist tied securely to a tree drizzled in meat grease and honey works like a champ.
If we can't help each other what is the point of being here?

It's tourist season here in the Black Hills and I forgot to apply for my tags.
