My first ray

Just got in from fishing and managed to shoot my first stingray woot I cut the tail off and save it

I cleaned it earlier the meat looks cool it's in small strips kinda looks like meat after you run it in a grinder with a small hole plate :) I think kl make a big ball and fry it

You may want to soak the meat in salt water for a bit. Like sharks, rays urinate through their skin and the salt water soak will get any amonia smell out of it.  ;)

Nice shot.  Those things are wierd looking.  They do make a nice pair of cowboy boots ;D

i used to catch them all the time in Fla.(near holly hill/dayton beach area) on fishing tackle with shrimp
always let them go though
never ate it,but have eaten scallops and liked them
let me know how it tastes
cant imagine its worse than most other shark meat
i always wanted a harley,untill it became the "thing to ride"
i ride because i love to,not to be part of the crowd

The difference in scallops and rays and skates cut like scallops is in the grain of the meat. The grain runs from top to bottom on a scallop and across when rays or skates are used.
