bearded hen...
« on: May 18, 2011, 05:21:24 pm »
Computer has been down but wanted to show the hen I got.

Was the last day of my season so I took bow and gun.  This hen was coming in but out of range for my bow so took her with the gun.  I have seen 2 bearded hens in about 17 years.....missed the first one but finally got one.

Thought you all might like to see it.
My son says I shoot a stick with a stick!!

Not a bad beard for a hen, too!  Gonna have her mounted?

My first turkey was a bearded hen.

I heard that a hen mount makes the absolute best decoy there is. Congrat's on a great kill. Lots of good eating there.
