I'm a good 8+ hours from you now, Eddie.  We hit the road right after the launch and got home around 6.  We did have a pretty dang awesome view of the launch, though.

You were lucky, they hardly ever go off when they say they will.

This was our 2nd attempt at seeing this launch.  That's the reason I wasn't at the Classic.

Wow Eddie, so glad you missed the bone but that is really gonna smart for awhile, especially the fingernail area.  I hope it heals fast for you, just make sure you keep it clean...an infection there would really stink!

I watched a guy loose 2 fingers on a table saw when I was younger (he was dumb and was wearing leather gloves) so I have always respected (feared) those machines.  If I can cut stuff on any other tool I will but I still occasionally find myself using the table saw but do so VERY carefully and with both eyes open.

Heal fast~

It don't take but a fraction of a second does it Eddie.  :o  I've had a close call or 2 over the years but am happy to still have all my original equipment. Take care of that finger and let it heal. It's gonna be slow going with that gash.

That's a dandy! You won't be pickin any boogers with that one for a while! :D
My brother works at a cabinet shop and a couple years ago he was almost hit in the head...by a thumb :o Those table saws are mean machines.
Be thankfull for all you have, because no matter how bad you think it is...it can always be worse.

Durn, Eddie-hope you didn't dull the saw blade up too bad. Those bones and stuff are rough on a good saw blade. ;D

Yikes!   Very close call...hope it heals well.  If not, at least it'll save some wear and tear on your fingernail clippers...

Are you going to post some pics when it heals up?  That nail is never going to be the same.  Hope it don't hurt too bad.  Tablesaws have claimed 6 finger tips from my grandfather and uncle.  I only use mine for ripping lumber.
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left
