Bow for a youngster (not for bom)
« on: April 20, 2011, 10:59:26 pm »
Been making a few bows for trades lately, here is one for Hobow's 5 yr old son.....a self bow of black walnut, 48", 10# @15" / 12# @ 20" / 15# @ 25"......painted like the Crow bow I posted a little while ago. Seems he cant decide if he wants to be right or left handed so it has floppy-rests on both sides.  Figured he maybe could use a quiver also...... along with a primitive arrow.

Here's the pics, hope they like it. 2 full draw pics....one with a 21" arrow and the second with a 25" arrow.

With a floppy rest on each side and a mind uncluttered by years of mind-numbing repitition, he might be able to shoot ambidextrously!  That would be a skill for a hunter with serious intent.

Nice piece of work, again, half eye.  You never dis ppoint.

Rich,
Presley got the boy and  :o  :o He was blown away.  The quiver and arrow put him over the top.  To say the least, he was ready to go "deer hunting" today.  After several attempts, I have much more respect for the kids bows and this one turned out perfect!  After the Classic, we are  going on vacation so I will have some time to work with him on shooting and safety.  Thanks!
