white oak bow (not for bom)

heres one i built today . white oak 53 inches tip to tip slightly flipped .1 1/4 inch wide at the handle 46 lbs at 27 inches.
snake skin from texas (?). and dyed deer hair on the handle to match the belly color. hope ya like

I like what you did with the bow.  The red seems to make the snake skin stand out.

Damn Ken they just keep gettin better.....that's finer than frog hair. I did catch that stuff twixt you and Mark, but ya still got a damned sweet bow there.

I kept passing on this thinking I had seen it already, til I noticed the white oak part of the title. hard to keep up with the Henry Ford of bow making :)  excellent full draw, love the red with the skins.

How do you like white oak? Comparable to other white woods like hickory?
