  • crepe myrtle is my "yella wood"
heres two i finished today . first is hickory backed maple core birds eye belly mild r/d . 62 inches tip to tip 47 lbs at 28
second is hickory backed two lams of hard maple painted black with acrylic 60 inches tip to tip 40 lbs at 28 (for my bride )

Man those are damned fine lookin bows, sir!!!!! That birdseye turned out super nice lookin. Ya for sure got some serious bend into the wife's trilam.

Got to say though that bow ya made for you is real sweet, like everything about it.

You've made some nice bows Ken, but that top one is probably my favorite yet.  Birds eye maple = genius! :)

Outstanding. love the profile and birdseye of the first one and the braced pic of the black one is just wicked. the tips on the birds eye are sweet as well. excellent job.
