Yew snake
« on: March 03, 2011, 11:00:10 am »
This bow just finished yesterday from a local sapling. 63 ttt 50# at 26 draw. It doesn't take too much set less 0.5.
Used just natural materials on it, just two knot fixed with superglue the others with hot hide glue. Some knots protected with glanis raw skin-hide glue, decoration cherry bark, hand made hemp tread, solmon-glanis skin, handle is goat skin. This parts protected with sellakk separetly, handle with bees wax-pine resign. The whole bow finished with bees wax-carnauba wax melted in and polished.
String made from hemp, flamish twisted.

Now that is what I call a character bow. They don't come much nicer than that. And on such a challenging stave. Thanks for sharing.

Spectacular in every way.  Zoltan, You definitely raised the bar on the BOM with that bow. Stunning beauty with the perfection of a masters touch on the tiller. Attention to detail superb. Congratulations
