Thanks Hatch and 1776J...I no engineer and I'm sure this has been done before...it just made sense to me and the walnut was from an earlier failure the elm just a left over piece from slicing up staves.-Hammertime

That is one hell-of-a cool bow. the penobscot design is what got me interested in bow making. Well Done!

Thanks medicenewheel... as far as the noise-not really I have leather glued on in between the two bows @ the tips and @ the handle so theres little friction..thanks for asking its not really any noiser than your average self bow-Hammertime
