Sinew and Black Maple NEW FULL DRAW PICS

Hello all heres a sinew backed black maple 55" long,50#@20".2 1/4 @ fades to 1/2 nocks.Homemade deer rawhide handle wrap first time working with sinew so don't laugh to hard.Really fought the twist and week spot when tillering.Need to tweek yet for full draw thanks for the advice Keenan-Thanks for looking-Hammertime.  Not for BOM

nice! really like to see some cloe-ups of that sinew backing.
have a yew stave that when i get it going, will be sinew backed.
haven't done sinew before but looking forward to getting to that point with the yew.

Thanks Parnell yeah the sinew project was interesting seemed to get hide glue over everything-Hammertime

Very nice, seen the transverse wrapping on some native bows, yours looks way nice, seems like there is no way for any of the wood to get away....in any direction.

What is black maple? I've never heard of it. Also, if that was my bow, I'd get a little more work out of the first third of the top limb, just above the fade.

Thanks all for the comments and looking I got the black maple on a trade a know little about it-it was fairly easy to work i.e with scrapers etc had a twist that took several rounds with the heat gun to try eliminate,has taken little set and flings an arrow well but I only pull it to 20" so far not real trusting of it yet and need to touch up the tiller Hammertime

Got some better full draw pics after touch up the tiller-still not perfect but I"m happy this bow was a challenge for me and I think it turned out ok.55#@24" thanks for looking -Hammertime
