That is pretty impressive. It is amazing how much abuse the wood will take with a sinew back on it.  Justin

Thanks.  The sinew on this bow was actually stripped off another that was a total dud(my first attempt at sinew backing).  I used the method that I described in my post about my broken Maidu bow.

Thats a great looking indian shorty, I like the shorties too, this one inspires me to try something similar. I noticed that you didn't round the edges, is that the southwest style? just curious, I always round the edges but yours looks nice the way you have them.

Jcoug it looks like the same thickness FROM HANDLE TO TIPS,is it a pyramid design? Did you start with 6-8" of reflex before the sinew?  Cool looking bow-great work.

Very nice.  I tried to bend oak like that once.  When I was done I used the splinters to build a fire.  Amazing.
