« on: January 25, 2011, 01:19:00 am »
a guy i work with has a bow that belongs to his brother
his brother is coming to minnesota next month and is taking the bow back with him to cali when he leaves
it has a few deep scratches in the glass and he was wondering if it was detrimental to the functionality of the bow
and would also like any info i can find about it etc
the scratch looks worse in the pic than it realy is,it can be seen more than felt but it can be felt with a fingernail
i know squat aboot glass bows,except they aint for me,so i thought i would ask ya'll  ;D
heres a few pics
thanks in advance  :)

Coupla scratches no big deal. As long as no cracks or splinters in the glass all is well.
Thanks Leroy

thanks leroy,
i figured the scratches were just a cosmetic nuisance

does anyone know anything about this bow
like when they were made etc
is worth trying to acquire from him,or is it just one of the fly by night glass bow makers from back in the day?

thanks for any info

Yep, like Leroy said. That is a nice shooting bow. Tell him to get some 1000 grit or better sand paper and sand it. Then spray it with Poly or Trueoil.  Oh, I'm pretty sure that is a Ben Pearson.

Just fill it with super glue and like mullet said sand it with 1000 grit sand paper.
