Book Resources
« on: December 21, 2010, 11:28:52 pm »
I though a single thread discussing books would be a good idea.  If someone has a good book they would recommend on any subject (i.e. bow making, knife making, cooking, gardening, leather working, etc), they could list it and why they like it.   So who's reading what?  I'll list a few  ;)

Leather working-

"Lacing & Stitching for Leathercraft- 10 differing lacing and stitching techniques."  This book shows you how to do the basics, it is easy to understand, and will help add some nice finishing touches on projects.

"Leathercraft Tools by Al Stohlman- For the beginner (me) it shows the different tool options, how to use them, and how to sharpen them.

Book on trees-

National Wildlife Federation- Field Guide to Trees of North America-  One of the best books on identifying trees I've seen.  It has colored pictures of the bark, leaves, and general region of the trees.  Organized by leaf type to help you narrow down your search.
