Straightening Juniper?

I have a seasoned juniper stave that I have been looking at. It is twisted a little from end to end.
Does juniper take to straightening with steam or heat very well? Should I try to straighten it before roughing
it out or after?

I've never worked juniper(except ERC) but I would rough it out forst and maybe get it to floor tiller stage before straightening. A lot less wood to deal with.
