Circle Hook is Down
« on: November 09, 2010, 05:03:37 pm »
Thought ya all would like to see this big brute that was taken just a stones throw from Twin Oaks, TN. Been after this boy for over a year and he always seemed to know where to bypass a archer in a tree 30ft up. The other night a little 1 1/2 yr old doe acting birdy led him into a young man on his first deer hunt. Circle Hook was a 5 1/2 yr old with 3 main beams, live weight 285lbs with a 23" neck under chin and 35" at the base of neck! Yep a true boss. He broke off a good portion of the 3rd beam in the past few weeks. The young man who took him was cool as cream as we watched this buck from the ground work this doe into range for 25 minutes. The boy was solid as Sears. Told him after "You've done outstanding son, enjoy this moment because you could hunt for 30 years and never even see an animal like this". He knew it when he wrapped his fingers around that bone stickin out his head!

Circle Hook has had ample time to pass his genes on and sprinkle that magic threw-out the herd. We've seen several 2.5 and 3.5 yd olds that have this palmation and multiple horn gene. The really good part of this harvest is what We've not said. When folks say "to bad he lost that third beam".

This deer is second boss to the monster that took his beam is a big scrap we watched!

Wheweeee, that is another hog!  Clear the freezer out.  Don't bother calling Shannon to put it in his, he has to get another freezer also!  Way to go.  That is a nice one for sure!
