ERC flat bow: Jan. 31, 2010-Sept. 28, 2010
« on: September 30, 2010, 01:07:50 pm »
ERC flat bow passed Tuesday, September 28, 2010 while doing what she loved to do best.  "It all happened so quick," said ERC's maker.  "One minute we're enjoying target shooting at various distances and the next she was gone; not even a tic or a crack."

Friends of ERC commented on her and her life.  "She was so light and springy, it was a joy just to be around her," remarked hackberry recurve.  "I could never compete with her speed wise."

"I never would have expected her to go before me," said hackberry flat bow, " She never showed stress like I did and her set was less than any of the rest of us."

Hackberry War bow commented saying, "She could really fling an arra', and she wasn't too bad on the eyes either."

Preliminary autopsy reports point to overstressing that appeared to be occurring  as of late.  Examiners believe that perhaps a greater tension strength backing might have saved her.

Her maker remarked, "In the end I knew she would go at some point, just didn't think it would be soon.  She was really looking forward to her first hunt, and she went just a few days prior to opening day.  In the end we all just want to remeber the life she had and how good it was, despite it's short length."

She was preceeded in death by her older sister ERC short bow and younger brother ERC longbow.  She was a registered limb donner and family members are anxious to find a match.  Donations can be made to Primitive Archer and their online community which family credits for her good life.

Wow are you a funeral director or something?!  That was a very interesting way to announce your ERC bow passed... My condolences man. :(

Freakin' hilarious, in a sad sort of way.  That's a bummer.  Nice looking bow that had there.

The handle even looks like it is drenched in blood and dripping, like the ol girl went violently.  :o

Sorry to hear about her. But sounds to me like dying early runs in the ERC family. I don't know if I'd create any more of them.

Shoot, I actually started to tear up at one point :'( ;D.
I'm sure she'll be missed but it sounds like maybe relatives of her family will appear on the horizon in days to come.

To whom should I send the flowers :'( <sniff sniff>
Actually it's V interesting that she blew both limbs, it shows the stress was pertty evenly distributed and she was nicely tillered.
Just looked at the pics again, I'm a twit, only one limb broke, dunno if it it would actually be possible to have both blow at once, that's why it had surprisd me.
