Hi folks!

This one I made for a 4-year old, and it works pretty well. Last time i checked he he had killed a window of their barn.

length: 40"
drawweight: 10#@20"

That has to be one of the coolest kids bow that I have ever seen.  Amazing.
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

I am about to build one, maybe many for kids. Where do you get your rattan? and do you heat treat it to flip the tips :? Denny By the way nice job....I like the finish on it...

Very Nice Bow!  Is it made out of one piece or is it two glued together into that shape and then tillered?   :)

On ATARN a couple years ago someone posted a French Bowyer's all rattan, Steppe style selfbow, with beautiful recurved siyahs, etc. that drew around 80# @28" if memory serves.    I for one would sure like to see a how-to on making something like that - or even this beautiful kid's bow.  Working with rattan has to be significantly different that working with wood.

We used to buy rattan from 1-800- 4 bamboo... I believe it was in NY... very reasonable , and they had bamboo for bow making too ...
