The bow is terrific and the carving is breathtaking. Amazing work. Maybe someday a tutorial on how to carve nocks? ;)

That bow is really cool (except for the arrowrest that does not really match with the replica in my opinion...)

Very nice bow.  I made like that a few years ago, your heads look better than mine.  The original does not have recurves though.

That's incredible work! Profile is brilliant, braced and unbraced, tiller is as close to perfection as I've ever seen.  Very powerul presence in the full draw pic, if you know what I mean?

Excellent and beautiful...when you say you "chose" the square cross section, did you de-crown it to achieve the flat back? Or was the log so big that it naturally had no crown?

Medicine wheel, This is not a replica...this is a "in the spirit of" bow.

Cacatch, It was a large log so the back was pretty flat...it had a slight crown but with the tick growth rings I was able to flatten it a tad.

I think I saw this bow, or line drawings of it, in PA a long time ago.  It was called the "Captive Bow".  I'll do some searching to see what I can find.

By the way, kudos to you for reproducing museum quality functioning replicas.  It's kinda the way I am giong with my work at this time, too.
