Grandson's bow finished
« on: April 05, 2007, 11:39:44 pm »
Well I'm happy with how it turned out. Not really a primitive type bow but it's built with a lot of info I found here. Thanks All.
Plan on copying Pat O'Sullivan's reverse riser bow for the next one. Congratulations Pat. Imitation is the highest form of honor.

How would you summarize the materials in this bow? Anyway, good job and bookmarked for April Self Bow of the Month and also for Kid's Bows

Thanks OldBow. This actually is a laminated bow. Used 2 tapered lams of hickory with birdseye maple wedges. Heat treated the belly to remove set caused by a water based glue. The riser is bocote with maple, purpleheart, and maple accents, 12" end to end. Limb tips are  cocobolo. The bow is 54" ntn 19# at 24".

Nice bow.  Fits right in with the laminated bows here.
