Mossberg 500 Upgrades
« on: July 08, 2010, 01:41:10 am »
Okay guys, a gun question on a bow forum...go figure.

Wondering if any of you have any positive experiences with telescoping or collapsible stocks for the Mossberg 500.  Looking to upgrade to a pistol grip style handle as it's easier for me to hold with my hand (missing a few fingers) than the regular stock, but I don't want a pure pistol grip as those are useless.

There is lots of stuff on the market, but I'm not a gun nut so not sure of what's good or bad.  Any recommendations for a good integrated pistol grip/telescoping butt stock?

Thanks,
J

I've got a pistol grip on my Stoeger auto Turkey gun. It is a lot easier to handle with the pistol grip.

If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

the grip on the hnr is what I have in mind.  Just enough of an angle change that it;s easier to hold and bring to point of aim.

Like it?  any complaints?

Thanks....when you are looking at it, can you also check to see if it has predrilled holes on the side of the butt (cheek plate) to accept a bolt-on shot shell carrier.

Cheers,

ATI makes some of the best aftermarket stocks for the money that I have used. I have them on a couple of my zombie-control implements. ;D Cheaper Than Dirt, Cabelas, and several other places carry them.
