My first response was, "who cares what kind of tree it is! - it's bow wood in your driveway!".......lol. Around here, if it isn't wearing cones and needles, or dropping poplar pollen sacs, I look carefully at any tree I see down. In fact, on the way to work this morning, I found a downed branch from an unidentified tree on the old courthouse lawn. Just have to figure out how to, ah, "liberate it"....perhaps it's time for me to put on my hard hat and flourescent vest.....and just look like I belong there doing what I want to do.
I can almost hear you now, "yes officer, the remaining tree was a safety hazard to children in the area....too bad it had to come down, but safety first!"
