eagle claw effigie
« on: June 15, 2010, 11:45:57 am »
I made this a few days ago. Its been on PP and flintknappers.com for a few days but i have to use my work comp to resize photo so i can post them here.
This was not easy to make. These were found by the duck river in middle TN and are part of the Duck River Cache. There a ceremonial piece and are thought to have been used in ceremonies on top op the mounds by the Mississippian people.

That is some awesome work!  Is that some of your Kentucky Blue?  You need to make one from some Flint River to match your dance sword, and now you need to make a dance sword out of something black to match your eagle claw.  Does that sound like a rainy day project or what?  Bill
