well i have been busy lately not really making anything new
but finishing up some projects that have been half dome for awhile now

i finally made some handles for knife blades that i have made in the past year, still have a couple lft to make and haft though
i have had a stome hawk head for about a year now.had the handle made too but never put them together,so i did that too.
some of the knife handles still need a finish put on them but they are still considered done for me  ;)
the 3 on the right are the ones i fiished up most recently
from left to right we have
smokey obsidion with osage, not sure of the stone on teh next one,i got it from jesse that has an hhb heartwood handle, the third is another stome im not sure of.it to came from jesse,it too has an osage handle, then we have coral with curly maple.i might just make a differant handle for this one.the fifth is blue/yelow shen obsdion and hickory, then its a blend of mahogony/gold sheen/smokey obsdion with osage handle.after that its mookite and curly maple.the far right is peacock obsidion with curley maple.the peacock is realy sweet in natural light.its got greens/blues/purples in it

some of these blades wer made many months ago.which at that time i hadnt been knapping for more than about 6-7 months.
i am proud that some of these are thin.the peacock, the mahog/gold sheen/smokey (tater chip as i call this one) obsidons and the mookite are my favs  ;D
tater chip and the mookite are from many months back.some early blades that stayed together even though they are thin, proud of them
there are also a few points that are new, these were made while i was waiting for the adhesive to set up in the knife handles

the hawk is what i call my "personal defense system".
when you first swing it at someone you will heit them with the serated head,on the back swing you drive the spike end into them.  >:D
if they have enough left in them to get back up,just repeat the process untill they realize they busted into the wrong house  :o >:D
not sure what the stone is.the handle is 3 yr old black walnut.i heat treated the snot out of it too, especially the spike.
i used pine pitch and rawhide to hold the head in place.a raw hide wrap on the handle is to keep your hand from sliding down and interfeering in the penetration of the spike end.

thanks for looking.
as a side note all the knives, even my favs are tradeable items for me.the hawk is not.unless you have something really sweet to offer

Nice work, Tim.  I came over to this site just to look at your knives.  Excellent knapping, my friend.

Man you have been busy.  That is some serious blade making.  The tomahawk is awsome, if I were you I would keep it for a little while before you consider trading it. ;)
