boo-ipe recurve
« on: May 03, 2010, 03:56:46 pm »
As promised, heres one of my latest bows. Its pretty fast. 64"ntn and 65lbs at 27"draw. The recurves open approaching full draw and where put in with what I think is called a kerf  joint. Its a little bit heavy, I was aiming for 60lbs, but it came into  near perfect balance at 65lb and it felt right to leave it. But i'm nearly used to the extra poundage. If there was anything left to hunt in this country I reckon it would be capable of killing anything(except elephants and rhinos maybe). I put on the dragon head knocks as an experiment out of moose antler, what doyou think???

Very pretty, I'll bet that packs a nice punch at 65#
I'm not a big fan of fancy carved nocks, but they do look good, I hope they keep those pesky evil spirits off the arrows.

thanks for the compliments, thought you'd like the tips, thinking to make 'dragon- tips' my signature on future bows, perhaps I should patent them? ;D
