Had a good start on day off
« on: April 16, 2010, 08:54:56 pm »
Hi guys took a day off and went fishing for some potential stave wood and only came across some ironwood and maple.  I left the maple and on my way out I saw a nice piece of muscle wood and said "what the heck".  Nothing spectacular except I came across about 100 3 inch old cedar planks which I brought back a few that I could fit in my car.  they were all about 16ft long I cut them up into smaller pieces ripped and plained them into arrow shafts!

Have a good day!

Time, dedication, cuts, tons of broken rock, a wife, and perhaps a few girlfriends are some of what it takes in becoming a skilled flint knapper!!!
