Points and Rock ID
« on: April 08, 2010, 10:13:02 pm »
I hope these are a decant start to napping. The first set I worked on over the week and the second one I did today, The clear glass ones are from TV glass The others are from some flakes that Bill Skinner was gracious enough to let me have at the Pre Spring Arrow Fling :) TY Bill. Now I am not only addicted to bow making, But also this ;D
This last pic is of a rock we found and have never seen anything like it. I'm thinking it is a meteorite. But I thought I would ask y'all rock experts. I'm going to send a piece to Auburn to get it analysed.

That's a good start.  If you come to the Children's Hospital Shoot, I have a couple of buckets of large flakes and some spalls for you and Lombard.  I have been picking through my rock pile for some stuff for you guys to beat on.  Bill

that's a great start hillbilly!  you'll learn as time goes by.  Don't worry, you'll have plenty of addicts here on this site to share your addiction with.  That way, it doesn't feel like you're addicted.  Hanging with a bunch of primitive nuts like us will skew your perspective of your addiction.  Hell, I just call it FUN!!

Good lookin points man, welcome to the addiction! That kinda resembles a piece of unobtanium from that planet with the 10' tall blue people ;D. Actually I did find a bunch of that one time along the RR tracks that fell out of a hopper. Some kind of ore..

Well Hillbilly61, I guess I am going to use up some cool points, because I don't know who Joe Dirt is either.

You gotta rent the movie "Joe dirt". I didn't get a whole lot out of it but it's kinda funny.. It's an eightie's, maybe early ninety's comedy.. I think.
