still working hard in the osage patch,,found some great second growth trees this week,, 15in trees with about 20 rings per tree,,this second growth is very dence,,getting ready to split this block ,,with the hatchet started,,will post a nother pic with the stave I get from it,,notice the tall one standing up,, I split some today that was 91in long,,clean second growth,,

this is just a sample I am trying to put up a 1000 staves,,I have already got 450 sealed and stored
if you can shoot over them , they ain't to far

I can cure you of yellow fever,,take one 20in osage log, full of knots twists,,10 pound wedge 5 pound hammer,, this will cure it ;D

Yazoo, I think I met your Dad at the Pre Spring Arrow Fling at Tannehill. Got a nice thin ringed Osage blank, and that fat piece of Mullberry. I'll get two out of the Mullberry, and already chased a ring on one of the splits. Good stuff.

I can see how swinging a sledge all day smacking wedges could dampen a man's enthusiasm.

Mike, I can't wait to see what you have at the classic, I'm looking for a stave or two, I know you always have a great selection of wood so I'm sure you can set me up.
