not the finished bow since i had no camera to take anymore but heres the tiller. maple backed ash. 45 inches long 24 draw at 45lbs. braceheight of 6 inches. I tried recurving the bow but only got a very slight recurve. follows the string about 2-3 inches.

Wow That's a combo for some heavy bending.  To me it looks like you might be able to get a bit more draw length out of it, if you get the handle section bending a little more.

Background is very irritating, but I believe to see less bend in the left limb and a beginning of a hinge left at mid limb. And yes, I think more bend in the handle would make the bow's life easier...
Undoubtedly an incredible arc!

Very good job.....and dont get too worried about string follow....you got to expect some when your that short and gettin stretched that far!!!!! You definately got a "bend goin on" I like it :D

Wow, nice, that's almost a semi circle! :o
So does this show Maple is better in tension than Ash?

No, it shows that Ash collapses under Maple and stresses the back less.
