Very sorry to hear about Perry, Pappy. And sorry about the deer, hope it wasn't a 7 point.

Rough weekend sounds like.  Sorry to hear about the family friend.  Glad you got to spend time with your son, though.  I treasure every moment with my sons whether we are hunting, fishing, or just hanging out together.  My oldest (13) told me that he didn't like Osage near as much as he thought after helping me split, pack out, seal, and store a bunch this weekend. :'(

Very sorry to hear about your friend Mark, your right it sure does put everything in perspective. A person has to focus
on the good things in life so the few bad setbacks in life don't overwhelm them. Hope all involved stay strong.

I hadn't seen Perry in awhile but often thank about him and Beau, and our times down there and in Cloverdale. I sure will miss the boy, please let his family know that he is in our prayers.
I call a lot of people brother, but only count a few as family.

Pappy:  About the time I feel sorry for myself, something like this happens to remind me of how life can really be.  I feel so very sorry for that young lady no matter how the accident happened.  Hope Miss Joanie gets to feeling better!  Joe

Sorry to hear that Pappy.  I took time today to remind all of my kids at school about gun safety.  Maybe it will sink into one of them.  It's gun season here and we have a lot of farm kids.

I met the young man a few times over the years.  I'm sure sad to hear about this.  I'll be sure to keep his family in our prayers each night when we pray our kids to bed.

I missed out on my weekend trip to Twin oaks this past weekend.  My daughter is getting married and the wife had to go to a Bridal Shower for her.  My wife and I are Foster Parents and I have a house full now (4 Foster and my two for a total of 6 young-in's)   Hate to try to tell the wife I'm headed to Pappy's when events like this happen.

Hope to make this upcoming weekend.

Now I'm off to tell Bonnie Sue the sad news and take time out to say a Prayer.
