Natural born killer he is.  If a deer sees Pappy looking at it, it just walks up and says "Let's get this over with."  That's how he gets all those close shots.

I asked Pappy for pointers on my release.  He admitted to me he really doesn't know much about how to release an arrow, most times the deer just impales themselves on his arrows.  Yup, you might say he does like to get close first.   ;D

Friday,yes !!!! the weather has cooled off and looking forward to another good weekend at the cabin. I got deer to skin,I killed a 116lb 3 point yesterday evening.Went to the stand at 2:15 he came by at 6 yards at 3:00 on the nose.I put a prefect shot right behind the right shoulder and it exited low behind the left shoulder. He went maybe 30 yards and I watched him fall,it was all over by 3:02.
I was using my Hannah/Sadie Osage bow, 48@26 Hickory shafts and ace 160 heads,don't happen like that often but when it does You got to love it. ;) :) :) We have a meeting Saturday at noon and more getting the place ready for winter ,other than that I plan on doing some hunting and skinning and boning deer. :) Hope yall have a good one. :) Pictures Monday. ;) :) :)  Life is Good.

I am sure their will be some left, ;) although I did thin them a bit this weekend. :) I killed a 5 point Friday,Will killed a 6 point and doe but not on my place,also Keith killed another doe so it was a very good weekend for filling the freezer. We had a good meeting Saturday and even got in a little bow work in between skinning deer. Here are some pictures of the fun. First I got the Button cut up and ready for Miss Joanie to package,not a lot of meat but some really fine eating. ;) :) Then the 3 point and also a very nice buck Jeff ,a good friend killed Friday evening[compound] but still a very good 11 point. ;) :)

Keith and GregB came over for a little practice from our new stand. I kidded Keith on shooting an IW bow and driving and electric car. ??? :o ;) :) Will's 6 point,nice deer and Jon figuring out what he wants to do a fine piece of Osage. :)He thinks maybe a new bow will change his hunting luck. ;) :)Maybe it will. :-\

Poor, John, he looks lost.LOL It looks like you guys had another great weekend. I have a feeling this is about as close as I am going to get hunting with you guys this year. Chris and Shane both got one each last weekend a doe and a spike.
