Thought I would share the good news! I just asked my Girlfriend (Now Fiancee!) Gayle Wilkerson to marry me last Friday. She said "YES!!!".

I am now officially the happiest man in the world!!!

First Picture: Just after I asked Gayle in front of her horses stall near Griffith Park, Burbank, CA.

Second Picture: A complete stranger and I shared a table at lunch at the Riverside Cafe just down the street from where Gayle boards her horse. On hearing I was going to ask Gayle to marry me that evening he gave us 2 tickets, In-field box seats including free buffet, 20 feet to the left of the dugout and 25 feet from third base! Thank You Jeff for such a wonderful engagement gift! WOW!!!! This stuff just does not happen!!!

Pappy, tell us more about that cane straigtening jig?  Looks interesting.

Just two pieces of 2x4 screwed to form a "L".  Nothing fancy.  Seems to work ok.  I think I might get better results if I using cooking oil on the cane shafts.  Anyone tried that?

Congrats Tiller, good luck. Friday and the day started off very exciting,I come to work early as most of you know, about 2am I was a couple of miles from the house and a really nice buck Sept out of a
cut corn field, right in the middle of the road,I was running about 50mph and hit him with the left front fender,he went over the car,got back on his feet and ran into the woods,I can't believe it didn't kill him right off,I got out and looked but didn't see him.I will check the woods this evening.
Looked like a nice 8/10 with 16 inch or so spread.Man what a way to start the day. :o I got my bushhog repaired yesterday so I am back at it this weekend.I also got one food plot out.Got 3 of them to go.We have the first leg of the Deer Classic Sat. and also have the bash Sat night,it is our last big get togeather of the year so that should be fun. Me and Beau plan on putting up some stands in between working the shoot.Going to be busy, that's for sure. Hope yall have a good one
also. Life is good. :) :)

Congratulations David! Mighty attractive lady you've hooked! Does she have any sisters?  ;)

Hope the buck didn't damage your truck Pappy. Glad it wasn't more serious.

Great weekend, Had a good turn out for the Deer Classic,32 or 33 teams of 3 so that is a little better than last year. The Bash went good also ,we had about 50 members and friends of the

Everyone was busy around there getting there bows and arrows ready for the opening weekend.Lots of arrow work and of course lots of napping going on. I also managed to get my bushhog repaired and 4 tree stands up.Didn't think I would have time for that but worked it in Friday evening and Sunday morning.Hope yall had a good one also. Here are some pictures of the fun.  :) My girls was having some fun Friday evening, looks like Hanna could get mean if she wanted to.Doug and his grandson,He shot the course with us,great
