Have fun! This is what I did last weekend....

Big Kayak gathering of Skin Boat builders and qajaqers here in the Puget Sound. One of the guys holding the beer in line is the auther of the book "Kayaks of Greenland" and an avid kayak builder and kayaker! Lots of fun and learned a ton of stuff. I will try to get a picture up of my kayak soon.

Nah! Thats a kayak built for rolling. The ones for open ocean have an inch or two more free board. Mines not in the pictures but I know now what I will do with the next ones to give it more primary stability and better handling characteristics.

Looks like a fun time Pappy. Keep us up to date on that take down. I'd like to get a lot of details on that,I was wanting to do one and it sure would be helpful maybe a buildalong on the takedown sleeve.Just a suggestion. Ronnie

Besides working on bows some Saturday, I gave a bow away to the daughter of a friend of mine I work with. Katie was at the Classic this year camping and they had a really good time. I decided to make a bow for her and finally gave it to her Saturday morning.

Y'all are good to Katie.  We're both forturnate to have such good friends.

The bow is beautiful and she has been showing it off.  Also thanks for the practice points and snap nocks Pappy put on her arrows... her mother thinks the points are "really sharp".

Thanks, Doug
